Katie Maloney Files For Divorce From Tom Schwartz

Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney has officially filed for divorce from Tom Schwartz just one week after they announced their breakup. 

According to TMZ, Maloney filed court documents for divorce in the L.A County Superior Court on Tuesday.

The reality television duo, who tied the knot in 2016 after years of dating, had both announced their split on their respective social media accounts last week. You can read more about this here.

“I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you. After 12 years on an adventure through life together Tom and I are ending our marriage,” Maloney wrote on Instagram.

In an appearance on the You’re Gonna Love Me Podcast on Friday, Maloney revealed she had been unhappy for months.

“I just wasn’t happy. I know [for] some people [it] may seem like a shock, or it may seem like an abrupt thing, but for us it’s not like we just decided this this week or yesterday or the day before.”

“It got to a point where it felt like I was going to burst. For months it was building up,” she said.
