Cher is suing ex husband and ex band mate Sonny Bono’s widow, Mary, for withholding royalties.

The Believe singer has filed suit against Mary Bono Wednesday in a federal court, alleging she has been withholding royalties from Sonny and Cher’s 1960s hits.

This includes songs such as I Got You Babe and The Beat Goes On.

According to TMZ, court documents state “Cher claims when she and Sonny divorced in 1975, they agreed to an equal split of their music royalties and inked a deal to that effect when they settled the divorce in 1978.”

Cher goes on to claim that in recent years Mary has been trying to undo her ownership of those rights and royalties in recent years.
