Amazon is currently in talks with Chris Pratt as they hope to secure a sequel for The Tomorrow War after its huge success.
The Tomorrow War made its debut earlier this month July 2 and was watched by 2.4 million US households over its release weekend. The film was a huge success for Amazon, so it comes at no surprise that they are keen to secure a sequel.
According to Deadline, Amazon is currently in talks with Pratt and the whole creative team behind the film to bring them back for a possible sequel. Both director Chris McKay and screenwriter Zach Dean are reportedly also speaking to Amazon.
Amazon acquired The Tomorrow War from Skydance for $200 Million as part of their commitment to build an arsenal of streaming tentpole franchises.
Pratt celebrated the success of The Tomorrow War in a video posted to his Instagram.
“Thank you to everyone who watched The Tomorrow War this weekend. The first 48 hours of global viewing for The Tomorrow War on Prime Video broke all the records.” Pratt said.
