Chris Rock Is Rebooting ‘Saw’ Horror Franchise

Comedian Chris Rock is rebooting the Saw horror franchise, but with a completely new take on the Jigsaw Killer World.
Sources are claiming he signed on to bring his reimagined version of Saw to life and is now working with Twisted Pictures and Lionsgate. In fact, he wrote a screenplay for the new film; directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who directed several Saw films.
The producers have promised the film will be eventful after Chris took his idea for a spinoff to Lionsgate — apparently it “reimagines and spins-off the world of the notorious Jigsaw Killer.”
The first Saw film premiered in 2004, and the last in the franchise was Jigsaw in 2017.
We have a release date set for October 23, 2020.
Due to the limited information provided regarding production, we are unable to confirm if Tobin Bell, the original voice of the infamous Jigsaw character, will be making a return.
