Chrissy Teigen has opened up about how being a member of the “cancel club” has impacted her mental health.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the model has addressed how her mental health has been affected since being “cancelled”.

Teigen faced severe backlash across social media after numerous examples of her past behaviour, such as the online bullying of Courtney Stodden, resurfaced.

She took a hiatus from social media and professional commitments, and has since apologised for a number of controversies.

Chrissy writes that it “just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter shit in real life. Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race.”

She opens up about how she has been feeling in the wake of being cancelled. “I feel lost and need to find my place again,” she writes, “I need to snap out of this, I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay.”

When discussing her experience in “cancel club”, she shares that:

“Cancel club is a fascinating thing and I have learned a whollllle lot. Only a few understand it and it’s impossible to know til you’re in it.”

“It just sucks. There is no winning. But there never is here anyhow.”

“I love you guys, I miss you guys, and I just needed an honest moment with you because I’m just…tired of being sick with myself all day” she adds toward the end of the post.
