Sean McInerney Gets Emotional About Near Death Experience

Jackass star Sean “Poopies” McInerney became teary-eyed while discussing his close encounter with a shark during a failed stunt in the Bahamas.
The accident occurred during a collaboration with the Discovery Channel for Shark Week.
Shark Week is an annual week-long segment where the Discovery Channel featured predominantly shark-based content.
Addressing the accident on his YouTube channel (The Poopies Channel) McInerney admitted he thought he would die.
“I had one go at the ramp. I told my driver to go at like ten miles an hour, so we don’t go too fast.”
“But I think we went a little too slow and I launched like four to five feet into the shark pit,” said McInerney.
“And when I landed in that shark pit, I thought I was going to die.”
“There was like, ten sharks around me,” He said, becoming visibly emotional. “I was trying to swim out and I couldn’t. I couldn’t swim out and I knew I got bit…I just got my hand bit. Scariest thing in my life.”
McInerney was flown to Flordia for immediate medical treatment. The stuntman underwent two surgeries to reattach two severed arteries and tendons.
Sean is the newest addition to the Jackass franchise.
He will star in the new film Jackass Forever alongside Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville, Preston Lacy and Chris Pontius.
Jackass Forever arrives on October 22.
