The sad news of LaBar’s passing was confirmed by his son Sebastian, who posted a tribute to his father on Instagram: “My father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!”
At the time of writing LaBar’s family have not yet revealed the late guitarists cause of death.
LaBar’s fellow Cinderella bandmates have also released a statement honouring LaBar saying: “Heavy hearts cannot begin to describe the feeling of losing our brother Jeff. The bond between us over decades of creating music and touring the world is something that we as a band uniquely shared.”
Born in Darby, Pennsylvania in 1963, LaBar joined Cinderella in 1985 after the band’s original guitarist Michel Schermick left.
In 1988, the band released power ballad ‘Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone)’ which was a huge hit and went on to be their most successful song.
Rest In Peace, Jeff LaBar.
