Coldplay To Stop Making New Music

Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay, has announced that the band will stop making music in 2025.
Talking on Radio 2, Martin said that their last ‘proper record’ will come in 2025, focusing on touring after that.
“Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue, as it were, finishes then,” he said.
Back in October, Martin had hinted to NME that Coldplay’s recording days could be coming to an end.
He said that they had plans for twelve albums – three more – before calling time on recording new music.
They want to continue touring “in the way that the [Rolling] Stones do, it will be so cool if we can still be touring in our late 70s.”
“That will be wonderful if anybody wants to come.”
