Courteney Cox Receives Long-Awaited Emmy Nomination

Courteney Cox has received an Emmy nomination for her part in the Friends: The Reunion show.
The Friends star is the only one of the core cast members who did not receive an Emmy nomination.
Cox has now been nominated, along with her co-stars, for their roles on the reunion show.
However, despite being happy for the success of the reunion, she also expressed her disappointment in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“That’s not exactly the Emmy I was looking for. I’m being honest with you.”
During an appearance on Howard Stern‘s SiriusXM show last month, Cox detailed how the Emmy snub affected her.
“Yeah, it always hurt my feelings, When every single cast member was nominated but me, it definitely hurt my feelings. I was happy for everybody, and then when it was finally like, ‘Oh I’m the only one?’ it hurt.”
Over the course of it’s run between 1994 and 2004, Friends was nominated for a staggering 62 Primetime Emmy awards and won six of them.
Jennifer Aniston won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress on the show in 2002 and Lisa Kudrow for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1998.
In addition to this, every other cast member aside from Courteney Cox, (Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer) were nominated throughout the years.
