Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Another Goal Scoring Record
Days after re-joining former club Manchester United (read more here) Cristiano Ronaldo is once again in the headlines.
This time for breaking another goalscoring record, with the player currently holding the record for all-time top goalscorer, after he broke Pele’s record.
Ronaldo broke the all-time international goalscoring record during a World Cup qualifier game against Republic of Ireland. He had the chance to break the record but failed to score a penalty.
However in the final minutes of the game Ronaldo broke the record by scoring a header equalising the game and taking his goal record to 110 and breaking Ali Daei’s record.
After breaking the record he then scored once more, winning the game for Portugal on his 180th appearance for the national side.
