Dana White Contacts Joe Rogan After Contracting COVID-19

UFC President Dana White reveals he tested positive for COVID-19 and consulted Joe Rogan for advice on treatment.
Speaking on The Jim Rome Podcast, White said he caught the virus during Thanksgiving.
“We went up to my place in Maine for Thanksgiving,” he said. “It’s tradition we go up there every Thanksgiving. Somebody had it, and we get back and we all tested positive for COVID. Literally the whole family and my family up in Maine, too.”
“We got back on Saturday. On Sunday – I cold plunge and steam everyday – I get out and cold plunge and I get in the steam and I spray the eucalyptus and I couldn’t smell anything,” he said.
“So I open the bottle, I start sniffing the bottle of eucalyptus, and I’m like yeah, I got no smell. So you know what this means. I literally got out of the steam, picked up my phone and called Joe Rogan.”
Rogan has come under increasing criticism for providing un-proven medical advice to treat COVID-19. Among his proposed remedies is ivermectin – an antiparasitic drug commonly used on animals.
While White says he’s still in quarantine, he adds that he now feels “like a million bucks” and faced very little symptoms.
“I’m doing two-a-day workouts for the next 10 days while I have COVID and I’m in quarantine. I got my smell and taste back in less than 24 hours.”
