‘Do The Right Thing’ Actor Danny Aiello Dead At 86
Danny Aiello, known for The Godfather Part II and Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, has died at 86.
His family say his passing happened on Thursday in New Jersey after being treated for a sudden illness.
It is believed Aiello suffered an infection due to an injection which left him fighting for his life, and on Thursday when his family visited him in the hospital, he died shortly after leaving.
He is known for playing Tony Rosato in The Godfather Part II and featured in other films including, Fort Apache the Bronx, Once Upon a Time in America, Moonstruck and Band the Drum Slowly — his first film in the 70s.
He was also nominated for an Oscar for his role in Do the Right Thing.
Rest in Peace.
