Dieter Brummer Dies Aged 45

Home and Away star Dieter Brummer has passed away at the age of 45.
According to the BBC, the Australian actor was discovered by New South Wales police at a property in Sydney on Saturday (July 24).
“We lost our handsome, talented, funny, complicated and beloved Dieter,” said Brummer’s family in a statement.
“He has left a massive hole in our lives and our world will never be the same. Our thoughts go out to all of you who knew him, loved him, or worked with him over the years.”
Brummer was best known for featuring in the popular Australian soaps, Neighbours and Home and Away – which he featured in from 1992 to 1996. Both shows have paid tribute to the actor on Instagram.

“Dieter was a much-loved Home and Away cast member and celebrated by Australian and international audiences for his award-winning portrayal of Shane Parish,” wrote the official Home and Away page.
“We send our sincere condolences to Dieter’s family and friends during this very difficult time.”

Brummer won two Logie awards for most popular actor for his role in Home and Away.
