Dolly Parton Recreates 1978 Playboy Cover For Husbands Birthday

Dolly Parton recreated her 1978 Playboy cover and surprised her husband Carl for his birthday.
The singer posted a video to her Instagram announcing that she kept her promise to recreate the original cover at age 75.
She is wearing a black strapless bodysuit, a pink bowtie, and bunny ears.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” the singer jokes.
“Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday. Remember some time back I said I was gonna pose on Playboy Magazine when I’m 75? Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy.”
“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy,” she continues, “He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that.”

When comparing the original cover and the recreated shoot, she said “In the first one, I was kind of a butter-ball. Well I’m string cheese now! But he’ll probably think I’m cream cheese, I hope.”
At the end of the video, Parton shared a picture of herself giving her husband the gift, providing fans with a rare glimpse of the back of his head.
The pair have been married since 1966 but her rarely-seen husband, Carl Dean, prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
