Dwayne Johnson isn’t dropping out of Fast & Furious 9 because Vin Diesel wants to direct it.

Before we start, this rumour does have some credibility — if you weren’t aware, Dwayne and Vin haven’t exactly seen eye-to-eye over the last few years. In fact, back in 2016 during the production of The Fate of the Furious, the two infamously had a feud on set.

That aside, Star have once again fabrecated another headline saying, the pair are “headed for yet another showdown” — their alleged “insider” told them, “Vin is detemined to direct the next Fast & Furious movie, but Dwayne and his team are threatening to drop out of the picture if he does. Vin and Dwayne can’t even be on set together.”

Star‘s supposed “insider” continues, “Any chatter about these two guys finally getting on the same page is a lot of hot air. They’re just as at odds with each other as they were a year and a half ago, and there’s zero reconciliation in sight.”

The information about Vin wanting, or even being close to directing the upcoming film is completely inaccurate. In October 2017, it was announced that Justin Lin would return to direct a further two installments of the franchise — Justin has already directed four of them.

We are even more sure that Vin has no itention of directing the upcoming film because he actually made the announcement on his own Facebook.
