‘Fountains Of Wayne’ Singer Adam Schlesinger Dead At 52

Adam Schlesinger has passed away aged 52.
The Fountains of Wayne lead singer and songwriter passed away on Wednesday as a result of coronavirus complications, according to Josh Grier, his attorney.
He was reported to have been fighting for his life in the hospital in upstate New York and was on a ventilator, but unfortunately, the complications of COVID-19 led to his passing.
Schlesinger is a father of two and received multiple Grammy awards for his songwriting that featured on several television shows.
Tom Hanks paid tribute to him on social media, saying, “There would be no Playtone without Adam Schlesinger, without his That Thing You Do! He was a One-der. Lost him to COVID-19. Terribly sad today.”
