Gina Rodriguez To Star In ‘Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown’

Apple TV+ is in the early development stages for a television adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s comedy Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. 

Gina Rodriguez (Jane The Virgin) is set to join as a cast member and executive producer.

The potential series will feature a mix of English and Spanish, according to The Hollywood Reporter sources.

Almodovar is among the handful of executive producers, and it will also team up with Eugenio Derbez’s 3Pas Studios and Lionsgate.

Noelle Valdivia (Masters of Sex), is set to not only write the script, but also be the showrunner should the plans be given the green light to go ahead.

The original film earned Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe nominations.

There is no confirmed date of filming or release as of right now.
