Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan will join Blue Origin’s upcoming launch on December 9.

The former New York Giant joins five other crewmates also announced by Blue Origin earlier today. Among them are Laura Shepard Churchley, Dylan Taylor, Evan Dick, Lane Bess and Cameron Bess.

“In less than three weeks, on December 9, I will be blasting off in the next Blue Origin space launch,” Strahan shared on Good Morning America. “They approached me and they asked if I wanted to be a crew member. And, without hesitation, I said ‘Yes’.

The crew was revealed in a statement posted to the official Blue Origin website.

In July, founder Jeff Bezos took part in the first crewed space flight for the company, joined by his brother Mark, Oliver Daemen and Wally Funk. Another space flight took place in October, with Star Trek’s William Shatner among the crew.
