‘Harry Potter’ Cast Officially To Reunite On HBO Max

An assortment of castmates from the Harry Potter films are officially set to reunite in a special feature for HBO Max.

According to Variety, the reunion – Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts – will premiere on New Year’s Day 2022. The feature will mark twenty years since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Among the cast members reuniting are the core stars, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. They are joined by Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, Imelda Staunton, Robbie Coltrane, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Ian Hart, Bonnie Wright and Alfred Enoch.

Author J.K. Rowling is reportedly not scheduled to appear, however original director Chris Columbus will feature.

“There’s a magic in the air here with this incredible cast, as they all return home to the original sets of Hogwarts, where they began 20 years ago,” said producer Casey Patterson. “The excitement is palpable as they prepare to take their fans on a very special and personal journey, through the making of these incredible films.”

HBO Max has since released a short teaser trailer confirming the planned reunion.
