HBO Remove Conspiracy Theories From Spike Lee 9/11 Documentary

HBO has confirmed that Spike Lee’s documentary series on 9/11 has been re-edited to remove footage featuring conspiracy theories. 

According to Variety, the four-part documentary tilted NYC Epicenters: 9/11-2012 ½ has had its final episode reduced by 30 minutes.

A spokesperson for HBO has now confirmed that the episode’s length had been reduced because it was re-edited to remove “all the exchange and theories about how the towers collapsed”.

The original cut of the documentary, which was released to media outlets last week, contained interviews with members of a 9/11 conspiracy group.

Although the fourth and final episode in the series has been re-edited, episode three which features a theory that Flight 93 didn’t crash but was shot down instead, has not been changed.

NYC Epicenters: 9/11-2021 ½ premiered on HBO on August 22.

The series final episode will air on Saturday, September 11.
