Netflix has secured the rights to the latest installment in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.

The Hollywood Reporter states that the streamer gained the rights from Legendary Pictures.

The new sequel, directed by David Blue Garcia, stars Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Jacob Latimore and Moe Dunford. Fede Alvarez and Rodolfo Sayagues produced the feature.

Chris Thomas Devlin penned the new script, which takes place years after the events of the original 1974 film, directed by Tobe Hooper. Iconic villain Leatherface, makes his return in the sequel – in a setting which hasn’t seen or heard from him in decades.
