Original ‘High School Musical’ Cast Are Reuniting For Family Singalong On ‘ABC’ Thursday, April 16 at 8/7c
The original High School Musical cast are all in this together, because they are reuniting on Thursday.
The Disney Family Singalong is set to air tomorrow, Thursday, April 16 at 8/7 c on ABC, with the original HSM cast, including Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman.
According to the creator of the franchise, Kenny Ortega, “I wanted to find something I can do to participate and it was so great to be given the call and invited by ABC to join. It gave me a purpose to get up every morning. I felt really good that we have an opportunity to do something like this – it’s good medicine.”
Zac Efron is going to be part of the reunion, with Ortega saying, “We couldn’t reach Zac until late but when we did, he immediately jumped in, of course. Everyone we reached out to was quick – and you’ll see it in their spirit and the way they come together from their homes. They recognise this is an opportunity to strengthen spirits for those joining us for the broadcast.”
A very popular song will be performed by the Wildcats during the reunion… We’re All In this Together. Over the weekend, some of the cast used Zoom to reunite, including, Grabeel, Tisdale, Bleu and Coleman.
