Internet Duped By Fake Dolly Parton Tiktok
Fans of the country queen were delighted that Dolly Parton had joined Tiktok.
Little did they know, they had been duped by a fake account.
“Woohoo!” the beloved entertainer exclaims in a clip that had more than a million likes before its removal. “Well hello, I guess I’m on TikTok!”
The supposed Parton worse a bright yellow shirt, with blue Versace-esq trousers.
She had her signature big blonde hair and make-up on, making it extremely believable.
Dolly was sat amongst a piano and various other musical equipment.
“I just dropped in to say everything’s gonna be OK,” she continued. “You keep the faith.”
The account has now been removed, with a spokesperson for Parton saying to TODAY that “an unverified user had taken an old video from Parton’s Imagination Library website and doctored it.”
