Italy Win Euro 2020 As They Beat England On Penalties
As England looked to end their long wait at bringing home silverware since 1966, it wasn’t to be with Italy winning the competition for their second time.
Italy continued their unbeaten run that now stretches to 34 games, which comes off the back of not qualifying the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
On the night it was England that scored early with Left-back Luke Shaw scoring in the second minute.
For the remainder of the game England looked like it was going to their time but a 67th minute goal from Leonardo Bonucci levelled and both teams failed to score in regular and extra time which lead to penalties.
When it came to penalties it was Italy that took home the trophy winning 3-2.
