Tokyo Olympics Will Go Ahead Without Spectators

Two weeks ahead of the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo, organisers have made the decision to ban fans from attending.

The decision to ban fans coming to the Olympics after Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga declares a state of emergency in Tokyo. This being an attempt to slow the spread of Covid-19 cases.

As the Olympics will now be behind closed doors, Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike, has said that she “would like everyone to fully enjoy watching the games on TV at home,” following a meeting with IOC and Japanese organisers.
