The X-Factor winners announced that they are going hiatus following the conclusion of their Confetti tour next year.
They were adamant, however, that while they will be taking some time apart, they are not splitting up.
A break could see the trio delve into their own personal projects, and Thirlwall has already given an idea of what fans could expect from her.
“I adore songwriting, whether it’s for me in the group or for other artists, I’ve really enjoyed doing that,” she told Gay Times. “I like writing in general, so I’d love to write a book one day.”
And similarly to bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, who is 2021 movie Boxing Day, Thirlwall has entertained the idea of venturing into acting.
“I would definitely love to do a musical movie or something in the future, like a Greatest Showman moment or something.
“I feel like there’s still so many things about myself that people still don’t know yet.”
