Jake Gyllenhaal Starring In Heist Thriller ‘Cut And Run’

Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to star in New Republic’s upcoming heist thriller film, Cut and Run.
Variety reports that the picture, written by John Glenn, follows a group of thieves working to rob super-yachts. Things start to take a turn for the worse when they steal the wrong thing from the wrong people.
In addition to starring in the picture, Gyllenhall will also serve as a producer through Nine Story Productions, accompanied by Glenn and Brian Oliver and Bradley Fischer for New Republic.
The latter studio currently holds a first-look deal with Gyllenhaal’s production company and secured the rights to this most recent project following a bidding war.
From an early age, Gyllenhaal has starred in a number of high-profile pictures, including the likes of October Sky and Donnie Darko.
Among his most well-known titles are 2004’s Brokeback Mountain, Prisoners and Nightcrawler. Most recently, he reprised the role of Mysterio in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, and is next due to feature in Michael Bay’s upcoming thriller, Ambulance.
Further casting and production details for Cut and Run are yet to be revealed, with a director still to be announced.
