James Cameron Says He Regrets His Past Behaviour On Set

Filmmaker James Cameron says he regrets his tyrannical behaviour in the past which he displayed on some of the sets of his previous films.
During a recent event on online teaching platform Masterclass, Cameron referred to himself as a “tinpot dictator” and said he had wished he was more like his peer Ron Howard.
Slash Film reporting on the Masterclass said.
“Cameron does say that if he could go back and do one thing differently in his career, it would be to improve the nature of the working relationships he had with his cast and crew members.”
“‘I could’ve listened more. I could’ve been less autocratic. I could’ve not made the movie more important than the human interaction of the crew.’” the filmmaker says.
Cameron goes on to praise Ron Howard for his attitude with the cast and crew on set.
“I aspire, even today, to try to be my inner Ron Howard.” he says.
Cameron confirmed last year that filming for Avatar 2 had finished. The film was expected to be released this December however due to the coronavirus pandemic the release has been pushed back by exactly one year. Avatar 3, 4 and 5 are also planned for release in the years to come.
