Matthew Robinson Set To Write New Star Wars Film ‘Rogue Squadron’

Matthew Robinson will pen the script for Patty Jenkins’ new Star Wars film ‘Rogue Squadron‘.

Robinson has previously written the scripts for ‘Love and Monsters’, ‘Dora and the Lost City and Gold’ and ‘The Invention of Lying’.

This will be Jenkins‘ latest project for Disney after directing the last two ‘Wonder Woman’ films. The award winning director revealed on Twitter that she was taking inspiration for the new film from her father, who used to be a fighter pilot.

‘Rogue Squadron’ will be the first Star Wars film since ‘Rise of Skywalker’ in 2019.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new film has an intended release date of December 22, 2023.
