James Marsden Turned Down Role Alongside Channing Tatum In ‘Magic Mike’

James Marsden opens up about his reason for turning down a role in Magic Mike.

The 47-year-old Sonic the Hedgehog actor spoke to James Corden during an interview on The Late Late Show where he reveals the reason behind declining the offer to star alongside Channing Tatum.

Marsden explained, “I had fear I would be edited out of the movie. Just all my lines would be cut out and I’d be an extra just rushing around in a g-string so I think it was a lack of courage on my part.”

He also confesses that his family and friends “didn’t want to see me like that. I could have jumped in and had fun with that.”
