Jamie Spears Suspended From Conservatorship

Jamie Spears has been suspended as the conservator of his daughter Britney Spears’ estate.
After the latest court hearing which took place yesterday, Judge Brenda Penny said it was in the “best interests” to remove her father from the legal agreement, adding that the “current situation is untenable” and “reflects a toxic environment”.
The decision is a huge victory for Britney, as she spoke out against her father and the conservatorship back in June and July.
She has called the conservatorship “abusive” and said in a statement that she felt like she was being “sex trafficked”. You can read more about this here.
“In California, the only similar thing to this is called sex trafficking. Making anyone work against their will, taking all their possessions away – credit card, cash, phone, passport – and placing them in a home where they work with the people who live with them.”
Britney’s lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, had previously emphasised the importance of removing her father in court papers, calling it a necessary first step toward her freedom and “ending the Kafkaesque nightmare imposed upon her”, according to Sky.
Britney has not directly said anything regarding the news, but put a video of her flying a prop plane on Instagram with a cryptic caption stating she is “on cloud 9 right now ?☁️✈️ !!!!”
Fellow pop legend Cher has tweeted about her happiness towards the desicion;

Everyone is now waiting to hear if the conservatorship will be disbanded completely, which is what Britney and her lawyers have requested.
