Jason Momoa And Lisa Bonet To Divorce After Sixteen Years Together

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have announced their decision to separate.

The couple, who have been together since 2005, married in 2017. They share two children together; a daughter named Lola and a son named Nakoa-Wolf.

Announcing the news in a joint statement to Momoa’s Instagram.

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception,” read the statement. “Feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so- We share our Family news- That we are parting ways in marriage.”

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become.”

“Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children,” it continued. “Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the Prayer. May love Prevail.”

The pair reportedly met at a jazz club after they were introduced by mutual friends. During a conversation on The Late Night Show with James Corden, Momoa said, “She ordered a Guinness, and that was it. I beyond love Guinness. We had Guinness and grits, and the rest is history.”

The 42-year-old actor, who last featured in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, will return to screens in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in December of 2022.

He is also due to appear in Slumberland and The Last Manhunt.
