Jerry Seinfeld Apologises For Uncomfortable Sexual Aspect Of ‘Bee Movie’

Actor Jerry Seinfeld has apologised for the “uncomfortable” sexual undertone of hit 2007 film Bee Movie

In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Seinfeld revealed that he is well aware that fans have detected a strange romance between the bee character in the film and a human woman.

“I apologize for what seems to be a certain uncomfortable, subtle sexual aspect of the Bee Movie, which really was not intentional,” he said

“But after it came out, I realized ‘This is really not appropriate for children.’ Because the bee seems to have a thing for the girl,” he added.

Seinfeld, who was one of the films writers, also voiced the film’s main character Barry B. Benson.

In the film, Benson meets a woman named Vanessa Bloome, who helps him fight back against companies that are using bees for their honey.

Although, Benson and Vanessa never strictly form a relationship, there is  subtle indications that the pair have a romantic interest in each other.

Seinfeld was visiting Fallon on his Tonight Show, to promote the release of new 4K remasters of the original Seinfeld episodes.
