Jessica Simpson Details Her Intimacy With Nick Lachey, John Mayer & Tony Romo

Jessica Simpson has opened up about her intimacy with her ex-partners in her new memoir Open Book.

The 39-year-old has released a new book that details her life, from being sexually abused at the age of 6 to ex-partners and alcohol abuse.

She talks about Nick Lachey, John Mayer and Tony Romo, including the last time she slept with her ex-husband. In 2006, weeks before her divorce from Lachey was finalised, she watched an MTV documentary about the making of his latest album.

The album was called What’s Left of Me and it detailed the singers split from Simpson, and in an episode of Making the Video, it co-starred his future second wife, Vanessa Minnillo. According to Jessica’s Open Book, she “just wanted to know what he thought,” of her, saying, “I watched him portray himself as a victim, casting me as this selfish person.”

The Irresistible singer furthered, “I knew he did this to hurt me.” but also felt responsible for him “breaking down in front of the world,” and wanted to “fix him.”

Simpson then called him and “asked to meet him” at her house. Much to her surprise, Nick turned up and instantly she hugged him, despite her anger.

“I was numb, just blank. How do you react when you find out you have apparently hurt someone so deeply that they feel entitled to such actions? I felt manipulated into some revenge fantasy, but I had put myself in this situation … I didn’t know any other way to make it better, so I slept with him.”

Once Lachey left, she knew she “would never see him again” and could “feel his hate” but most importantly to her, she could confirm that he was no longer her husband and there was no connection to him.
