Jim Davidson Storms Out Of Interview Over Racism Accusations

Comedian Jim Davidson has walked out of an interview with Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo after being accused of holding “racist views”.
The comedian was confronted by Banjo on his one off-special show, Britain in Black and White on Tuesday, over views he shared last year about the dance group’s controversial Black Lives Matter routine.
In a rant uploaded to YouTube last year titled Who Needs Diversity?, Davidson suggested that the dance group should do a routine about “black men mugging people” after their BLM performance on talent show Britain’s Got Talent.
During their discussion, Banjo said to Davidson that he believes the video he made “was racist in every way.”
“As far as I’m concerned, that video you made about Diversity it was… it was racist in every way. Every single way,” he said.
To which Davidson replied: “If I was talking about you, it would be personal rather than be racist.”
Later in the interview, Davidson tried to defend his video, insisting that Diversity ignored the crimes that are committed by black people in their routine.
“You did a dance about a terrible crime, but ignored all the other crimes that are committed by Black people cause even to report it seems racist,” he said.
To which Banjo replied: “No. What’s racist is when you use their skin colour as a reason for crime.”
As their discussion continued, Davidson grew increasingly uncomfortable before finally storming out, stating he didn’t want to continue talking about racism.
