Donald Trump Launching New Social Media App

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will launch his own social media app and website, called TRUTH Social.

In a bid to compete with big tech, Donald Trump has announced the formation of a new company, the Trump Media & Technology Group and the launch of his own social media, TRUTH Social.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favourite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” Trump said in a statement about the company’s launch.

“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all,” he added.

The new social media network is set to have an initial beta launch next month, before a full rollout in early 2022.

Trump also announced that he plans to launch a new video-on-demand service called TMTG+, which will feature entertainment, news and podcasts later next year.
