Joaquin Phoenix Hints At Possible ‘Joker’ Sequel

Joaquin Phoenix has hinted at a possible Joker sequel, suggesting that there are more things to explore with the villain. 

The 46-year-old star, who won Best Actor at the Oscars for his role as Arthur Fleck (Joker) in the 2019 film, has revealed in a new interview that their is more things to explore with his character.

“This is an interesting guy. There are some things we could do with this guy and could (explore) further. But as to whether we actually will? I don’t know,” he said to Playlist.

It’s not the first time we have heard rumours about a possible Joker sequel. After the films release, director Todd Phillips suggested that a push for a sequel had happened before Joker came out.

“A movie does that kind of business and became that beloved around the world – they had talked to us about it. Joaquin and I had spoken about it anyway as far back as when we were shooting the movie,” he said.
