Johnny Marr Shares A Short Teaser Showcasing New Music

Johnny Marr has released a short teaser of new music, hinting that new material is on the way soon. 

The former Smiths guitarist last studio album release was in 2018 with ‘Call Me The Comet‘, since then fans have been eagerly waiting for his next album.

And they may not have to wait much longer. In a post to his Twitter August 26, Marr shared a snippet of new music alongside the caption: “I’m back… we’re back. New music. Let’s go.”

The music in the teaser appears to be a harsh electronic drum beat track with visuals that could be from a new music video.

Earlier this month, Marr announced that he’d signed an album deal with music publisher BMG. It’s possible that the new music teased could be from that forthcoming album.
