The Weeknd Shares Update On His Fifth Studio Album
The Weeknd has given an update on the progress of his fifth studio album noting that it is nearly complete.
In an Interview with The Hollywood Reporter on August 24, the Canadian singer revealed that the follow-up to his 2020 album After Hours, was quickly coming together and could be ready for release by the end of this month.
“It should be done by the end of this month. We’re just kind of figuring out when to put it out,” he said.
“It’s been really cool, because I’m working on this album this summer simultaneously with the writer’s room for the new TV show,” he added.
The TV show The Weeknd is referring to is a project named ‘The Idol’ that he is working on in collaboration with Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson and HBO.
The Weeknd released the lead single, Take My Breath Away for his upcoming fifth studio album, earlier this month.
