Joker Sequel Reportedly In The Works

Todd Phillips is reportedly set to write the sequel to his hit film ‘Joker‘.

The news first appeared in The Hollywood Reporter. In an article covering some of Hollywood’s most powerful lawyers, Warren Dern – the lawyer of Phillips – was included.

“Todd Phillips struck a deal to co-write the next Joker installment.” The section on Dern reads.

The first Joker film grossed $1.074 billion globally and won several Academy Awards.

In 2019 Phillips spoke on the IGN Podcast about the possibility of  sequel.

“We haven’t gone any further on it. Even Warner Bros. hasn’t. I think they’re just giving us time, and if we can figure it out, and if Joaquin’s down to do it, we would do it. But we haven’t gotten near that yet.”
