In an interview with Mirror Online, Kate Hudson shared that she had “personal struggles or familial situations that were challenging.” and that her past personal trauma helped to prepare her for the success she has had in Hollywood.

The actress noted that past events “kind of prepared me for my future and my success. I had a lot of personal trauma I never really allowed myself to be OK about, or recognise as being traumatic”.

Upon reflection, Kate wishes that she had been kinder to younger self.

“I’d probably tell my younger self, ‘It’s OK that you’re hurting… you’re OK’.”
