Actor Keanu Reeves has explained why he turned down the opportunity to star in Speed 2.
In a new interview on The Graham Norton Show, Reeves explained why he declined a role in the 1997 sequel to Speed, despite staring in the original.
“At the time I didn’t respond to the script. I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock, I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved Speed, but an ocean liner?”, he said.
“I had nothing against the artists involved, but at that time I had the feeling it just wasn’t right,” he added.
Reeves will next be reprising his role as Neo in The Matrix Resurrections, which releases in cinemas next week on December 22.
