Kim Kardashian Officially Declared Single

Kim Kardashian has officially been declared single following her latest divorce hearing with Kanye West.

Both parties were represented in court by their lawyers, while TMZ reports that Kardashian also made an appearance via video call.

West’s new lawyer, Samantha Spector, admitted that she had only been involved in proceedings for “less than 24 hours” after the rapper’s sudden dismissal of his previous attorney, Chris Melcher.

During the court hearing on Wednesday (February 2) Kardashian reiterated her wish that her single status be restored – a request she has made since December.

Sources claim that West had no objections to the divorce being granted, but his lawyer stated he had three stipulations. Of the three only one was granted; that the right to money which is supposed to be divided between them be preserved if either party should die.

The judge went on to grant Kardashian’s request and both she and West have now been declared legally single.

Further details regarding the pair’s assets and custody of their four children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – are yet to be resolved.

Recently, West has been attached to new love interest Chaney Jones, who shares a striking resemblance to the rapper’s now ex-wife.

Meanwhile, Kardashian has been officially involved with actor and comedian Pete Davidson since November 2021 – a relationship which West has repeatedly taken issue with.
