Kurt Cobain’s hair sells at auction for a reported massive $14,145.
During a recent auction, a mere six hair strands of the late Cobain’s sells at auction for a reported $14,145. Images of the preserved hair can be found in article by TMZ.
The haircut happened back in 1989, whilst Nirvana were on their ‘bleach’ tour in Birmingham, England. Kurt’s friend, Tessa Osbourne, gave the musician the haircut which made its way to auction. A photo of the day the haircut was done is also included within the sale of the hair.
Tessa kept the hair preserved in a bag before passing on to Nicole DePolo following the death of Cobain. John Reznikoff was the next person to obtain the strands of hair, adding to his “largest collection of historic hair” in which he has a Guinness world record for his collection.
