Laura Prepon Reveals That She Left The Church Of Scientology

Laura Prepon has shared that she left The Church of Scientology several years ago. 

The Orange Is The New Black actress has spoken publicly for the first time about the Church of Scientology in an interview with PEOPLE.

She shares that she left the church five years ago.

“I’m no longer practicing Scientology,” Prepon says, “I haven’t practiced Scientology in close to five years and it’s no longer part of my life.”

Laura now enjoys meditating with husband Ben Foster, who has never practised Scientology.

“We meditate daily and I’m really liking it, because it’s something that helps me to hear my own voice and it’s something we can do together.”

Prepon has been previously interviewed by Celebrity, a magazine associated with Scientology. In this interview, she credited the Church for easing her anxiety and that her life had become “easier”.“

“In my life, things have become much easier, I’m not affected like I used to be,” she said. “Things don’t bother me that had before. I don’t react like I did before.
