LeBron James Is Reportedly Changing His Jersey Number Back To No. 6

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is reportedly changing his jersey number from No. 23 back to No.6 for the start of next season.

According to The Athletic James is expected to change his jersey number to No.6 after the release off “Space Jam: A New Legacy” on July 16.

In the film James wears the No.6 shirt.

The Lakers star has been looking to to change his number back to No. 6 ever since Anthony Davis teamed up with him in 2019.

James initially intended to gift No. 23 to David back in 2019 but was unable to do so because it was too late for Nike to change its manufacturing plans for the 2019-2020 season.

The COVID-19 pandemic further delayed plans to make the change in jersey numbers.

James last wore the No.6 jersey when he joined Miami Heat in 2010. This will be the second time in his career he has worn the No.6 jersey.
