LeBron James has hit back at critics of ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ after the film received unfavourable reviews.

The film made its debut over the weekend and according to Deadline surpassed ‘Black Widow’ to claim the No. 1 Box office spot after taking in $31.65 million.

However, despite the box office success reviews for the film have been more then unfavourable. One complaint that many critics have shared is that the film contains far too much product placement.

Currently, the film has a rating of 31% on film rating site Rotten Tomatoes and a rating of 36% on Metacritic.

James responded to Deadline’s report of the film’s successful opening with a post on Twitter captioned “Hi Haters!”

Ahead of the film’s release last week, director Malcolm D Lee responded to backlash over the redesign of Lola Bunny in the film.

“I had no idea that people would be that up in arms about a bunny not having boobs,” he told Entertainment Weekly.

“Listen, I understand people don’t want things to change, but I think we needed some evolution with her,” he added.

‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ is available to watch now in cinemas.
