Lil Peep and XXXTenacion are reportedly being posthumously sued for ripping off another artist’s guitar riff in their track, Falling Down.

According to TMZ, the pair are being sued by Richard Jaden Hoff (stage name K.R.i.O). Hoff alleges that a sample of his 2018 track Under My Breath, was used without permission.

Calling the rip off “blatant”, Hoff also admits the sample was altered in Falling Down but says it remains recognisable.

It remains unclear exactly who Hoff intends to claim against.

In his filing, he allegedly names XXXTenacion and Lil Peep directly, however both artists tragically died before their track could be released.

Falling Down achieved great success after its posthumous release in 2018, and has garnered over 200 million views on YouTube.
