McAlpine is one of the many musicians who has benefited from the exposure that TikTok has engineered for up-and-coming artists, but her talent is undeniable.
The singles in the build up to her newest album has only demonstrated her songwriting abilities even further, with the kind of storytelling that listeners are able to truly resonate with.
Not only has the music been taken to new heights, but the patterning music videos have delivered a cinematic experience for viewers – with doomsday being a particular standout.
And that is the song which will kick off her upcoming fourteen-track album.
It includes features with Jacob Collier, Ben Kessler, Laura Elliot and Finneas.
McAlpine has released the latest instalment of this era with the fifth album track – all my ghosts – now on all streaming platforms.
The accompanying music video is also available to watch on YouTube.
Five Seconds Flat will be released April 8.
