Lorde Reveals The Hardest Thing She’s Ever Done

Lorde has revealed that her decision to stop using social media was “the hardest thing” she’s ever done.
Speaking to James Cordon, on his Late show, the solar power hitmaker revealed that she had deleted social media apps such as Twitter and Instagram from her phone and given control of her accounts to her team.
“I felt like my brain wasn’t working very well anymore. It was horribly difficult, the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I was so crabby. I felt so disconnected. But it’s how my life is now,” the signer said.
Lorde mentioned that the one of the main reasons she decided to leave social media was because of effect it would have on her mental health.
“It’s a lot of information. I realise how I was just pummelling myself with headlines and thoughts from other people all day,” she said.
Although she won’t be returning to Twitter or Instagram anytime soon, Lorde revealed that she still loves to use the New York Times cooking app.
“I go on the New York Times’ cooking app and I look at the comments. That’s become a source of community for me,” she said.
